Law Enforcement Fully Prepared for Fair Elections: Home Adviser
Speaking to reporters following a coordination meeting at the Chittagong World Trade Center on Sunday, the adviser dismissed concerns over recent violence, clarifying that these incidents are primarily due to internal party conflicts and will not disrupt the electoral atmosphere. He expressed high satisfaction with the current level of preparation by law enforcement agencies.
Addressing the challenges of maintaining law and order for 180 million people, the Home Adviser emphasized the importance of public awareness. He also categorically denied any plans to shut down internet services on election day to prevent rumors. He assured the public that internet connectivity will remain operational, but warned that strict legal action will be taken against anyone attempting to spread misinformation or fake news. The meeting in Chattogram was attended by the Divisional Commissioner, CMP Commissioner, DIG, and top officials from the Armed Forces, RAB, BGB, and Ansar-VDP to finalize security strategies.
