Addressing the delegation, he said, "In a few weeks, a new government will be formed. However, the collaborative work between our two nations must remain ongoing." He also recalled his long-standing relationship with China, which began through microcredit initiatives that transformed lives in rural Chinese villages.
Professor Yunus fondly remembered his meeting with President Xi Jinping last March, noting that the President had mentioned following principles from Yunus’s books. In response, members of the Chinese delegation, including prominent biomedical scientists and investors, expressed their keen interest in contributing to Bangladesh’s development. Notably, representatives from Walvax Biotechnology highlighted their experience and future plans for vaccine-related projects in Bangladesh.
