Chief Adviser Issues Strategic Directives at Army Headquarters
He issued these instructions during a high-level meeting with senior officers of the Army, Navy, and Air Force at the Helmet Auditorium in Dhaka’s Army Headquarters on Monday, January 26.
At the beginning of the session, the Chief Adviser praised the glorious and responsible role played by the Armed Forces during the nation’s critical transitions. He expressed his sincere gratitude to all service members for their patience and courage in maintaining law and order. Professor Yunus emphasized that the Armed Forces must work through seamless inter-institutional coordination to ensure the upcoming polls are participatory, secure, and acceptable to all stakeholders.
The meeting involved detailed discussions on contemporary security challenges related to the election and broader national security interests. Upon his arrival at the venue, the Chief Adviser was received by Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral M Nazmul Hassan, and Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan.
The meeting, which included the Principal Staff Officer of the Armed Forces Division and other top-ranking officials, serves to reaffirm the interim government's firm commitment to maintaining a safe environment for the democratic process.
