The shipment was imported by Madhyapara Granite Mining Company Limited from the Indian exporter Super Shiv Shakti Chemical Private Limited. Given that the cargo falls under a highly dangerous and sensitive category, the arrival of such a large quantity of explosives has sparked safety concerns among local residents and port workers in the densely populated area. In response, port authorities have issued a high-alert notice and implemented special safety protocols.

Director of Benapole Land Port, Shamim Hossain, stated that a strict security perimeter was established immediately after the trucks entered the facility. To prevent any untoward incidents, various agencies—including Customs, port security, Police, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), and the Fire Service—have been placed on standby. He added that because the goods are hazardous, the authorities are working to complete the administrative formalities as quickly as possible to ensure the explosives are dispatched to their destination without delay.

Official sources noted that international safety standards are being strictly followed for the transportation and storage of these materials. The explosives will be transported to the Dinajpur Granite Mining Project under heavy police escort and continuous surveillance.
