Vote ‘Yes’ in Referendum for a New Bangladesh: Faiz Ahmed
He emphasized that the interim government’s mandate is to ensure justice, reforms, and a fair election through the decentralization of power and establishing a balance in governance.
The Special Assistant claimed that the upcoming polls would be the finest in the country's history due to the extensive use of technology. He noted that all polling centers would be equipped with CCTV cameras, and police officers on duty would wear body cameras. This digital surveillance system aims to prevent any electoral malpractice and ensure that no offender can escape accountability.
Criticizing past governance, Faiz Ahmed highlighted how repeated constitutional amendments granted absolute power to a single individual, rendering others powerless. He stressed the need for a system where power is not concentrated in the hands of the Prime Minister alone. By clearing the "accumulated mess of 54 years," the government intends to build a sustainable and inclusive state for future generations through these critical reforms.
