A record amount of technology will be integrated into this election's security framework. According to the Press Secretary, 25,500 body-worn cameras for police and 500 drones will be deployed for real-time monitoring through the 'Suruksha' app. Additionally, mobile operators and power authorities have been directed to ensure uninterrupted internet and electricity services on polling day.
Over one lakh members of the armed forces, including the Army, Navy, and Air Force, will be deployed across 300 constituencies. With 1,842 valid candidates in the race, a massive team of judicial and executive magistrates will oversee the polling. The government has also prioritized the recovery of looted weapons to maintain law and order throughout the election period.
