EC Announces Second Roadmap for 13th Parliamentary Election
According to the roadmap, the deadline for the withdrawal of candidacy is set for January 20. The following day, January 21, returning officers will publish the final list of candidates and allocate electoral symbols. Official election campaigning is scheduled to begin on January 22, the same day the gazette for polling centers will be published.
Further preparations include a high-level meeting on law and order on January 28. On February 1, the Commission will allocate funds for law enforcement agencies and appoint election observers. Election materials are scheduled to be dispatched to district headquarters on February 2 and 3.
The roadmap confirms that the national election will take place on Thursday, February 12. Voting will begin at 7:30 AM and continue until 4:30 PM. All election campaigning must conclude by 7:30 AM on February 10. The Election Commission expressed its expectation that this roadmap will facilitate a smooth electoral process and ensure that every stage of the election is completed within the designated timeframe.
