No bias in appeals hearing: CEC
The CEC said, “No bias was shown in the appeals against the Returning Officers’ decisions. We ensured the participation of all candidates, and even for independent candidates, the one-percent voter signature requirement was handled fairly.”
He added, “Neither I nor my team rendered any judgment with bias. All queries were properly addressed, and I hope for continued cooperation in the future.”
Election Commissioner Abul Fazal Md. Sanaullah stated that any exemptions granted to loan defaulters were made lawfully and with caution.
