Chief Adviser assures CCTV at all polling stations
Speaking at a press conference after a meeting with the Chief Adviser at the State Guest House Jamuna on Sunday, Dr. Taher said the matter has been discussed and approved in the Cabinet. The meeting also covered the current political situation, key national issues, and recent developments.
Dr. Taher alleged that the government is providing extra security and protocol to leaders of certain parties. He stated, “If one party receives such protocol, the same should be extended to Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman as well.”
He also stressed that the Election Commission should apply rules uniformly across all parties, noting inconsistencies in treatment regarding loan defaulters and dual citizenship cases.
The Jamaat delegation present at the meeting included four members led by Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, with Deputy Ameer Dr. Syed Abdullah Md. Taher, Secretary General Miah Golam Porwar, and Assistant Secretary General Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan.
