Two BNP candidates’ nominations cancelled, Chattogram-4 candidate remains valid

Both candidates’ nominations were initially validated by the returning officers. Sarowar Alamgir’s candidacy was cancelled due to allegations of being a loan defaulter, despite a High Court chamber judge later suspending the loan defaulter listing; he remains officially marked as a defaulter.

Abdul Gofur Vuiya faced allegations of holding dual citizenship and was absent during the appeal hearing.

Meanwhile, BNP candidate Aslam Chowdhury from Chattogram-4 retains his nomination.
