‘No One Was There to Speak for Khaleda Zia During Her Captivity’: Dr. Asif Nazrul

Addressing a civic memorial service for the late BNP Chairperson at the South Plaza of the National Parliament on Friday afternoon, Dr. Nazrul expressed his gratitude to the participants of the July mass uprising. He noted that the revolution has restored Khaleda Zia’s place among the people while ousting an oppressive figure. He emphasized that for Bangladesh to prosper, the values represented by Khaleda Zia must be internalized.

At the same event, renowned scholar and researcher Professor Dr. Mahbubullah stated that the people of this land will remember her for her immense sacrifices, integrity, and unparalleled resilience against oppression. He asserted that her ideals will serve as the driving force for the future of Bangladesh, and following her principles is essential for the protection of both the party and the nation.
