Guinness World Record: 54 Bangladeshi Paratroopers Skydive with National Flags
This historic event took place on December 16 last year at the National Parade Ground in Tejgaon, Dhaka, to mark the country’s 54th Victory Day. The Armed Forces Division (AFD) planned and executed the mission, where 54 red-and-green flags fluttered across the sky in a breathtaking display of national pride.
The team comprised elite skydivers from the Bangladesh Armed Forces, including Ashik Chowdhury, Executive Chairman of BIDA and BEZA. According to Guinness World Records management, the feat aimed to commemorate Bangladesh’s 54th Victory Day globally while showcasing the nation's unity, courage, and professional excellence.
The program was dedicated to the six Bangladeshi peacekeepers who recently embraced martyrdom in Sudan. Additionally, Ashik Chowdhury honored the spirit of the student-led revolution by sporting the image of martyr Sharif Osman Hadi on his helmet.
