Upon refusal, a group of 50-60 individuals led by Kamrul Haque Roman allegedly stormed the factory on April 14, assaulting staff, vandalizing property, and looting 750,000 BDT in cash.

In contrast, the accused, Kamrul Haque Roman, a former local political leader, dismissed the claims as baseless. He argued that he was merely intervening to settle a dispute between two local groups over oil stocks on the day of the incident. Roman further alleged that the accusations might be a retaliation for his opposition to the alleged misconduct of some factory officials. Local police have confirmed that a written complaint has been filed and an investigation is currently underway to determine the facts.
