The DC remarked that for a long time, Jangle Seligpur was treated as a "state within a state," where terrorist groups engaged in hill cutting, illegal arms trade, and holding residents hostage. Peace was restored following a massive joint operation on March 9, involving nearly 4,000 personnel from the Army, RAB, Police, BGB, and Ansar.

During his visit, the DC noted that while RAB and Police camps are now operational, there are temporary challenges regarding electricity and water supply, which are being addressed urgently. Infrastructure projects, including road repairs by LGED and the installation of deep tube wells for residents, have already commenced. "No haven for terrorism will be allowed anywhere in Chittagong," the DC asserted, emphasizing that preserving natural beauty while ensuring public safety remains the top priority.
