Identities of 12 Victims Identified in Cumilla Train-Bus Collision

According to Cumilla Medical College Hospital sources on Sunday (March 22), the deceased include a mother and her two minor children from Jashore, as well as an elderly couple from the same district.

Other victims hailed from Chandpur, Jhenaidah, Noakhali, Magura, Chuadanga, and Lakshmipur districts. The tragedy occurred late Saturday night when a Dhaka-bound mail train struck a Noakhali-bound 'Mamun Paribahan' bus, dragging it for nearly a kilometer. The impact completely crushed the bus, leading to the immediate death of 12 people. Families of the victims have gathered at the hospital morgue, creating a heart-wrenching scene as they prepare to receive the bodies of their loved ones.
