On Monday night (March 16), amid heavy rain and power outages, miscreants entered the premises of his three-story residence in the Amlapara area. They stole two coils of copper service wire worth approximately 60,000 BDT, connecting the main line to the electricity meter.

The incident caused a stir in the district on Tuesday morning, prompting the police to launch an immediate investigation. A scrap dealer has already been detained for questioning, as police suspect the stolen wire might have been sold locally. Despite the presence of CCTV cameras, the thieves exploited the darkness and the storm. Bagerhat Police Superintendent Md. Hasan Chowdhury confirmed that multiple teams are working to arrest the culprits and recover the stolen property.
