722 Bottles of TCB Oil Recovered from Underground in Jamalpur; 2 Detained
Two individuals, identified as the mill's caretaker Bishal Mia and truck driver Shahin, were detained during the operation.
The joint drive was led by Major Labid Ahmed, Company Commander of RAB-14, and Md. Shariful Islam, Assistant Director of the Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection. Authorities discovered the 2-liter bottles buried in a pit beneath a pile of bricks at the mill, which was owned by a late local leader. Although the TCB labels had been removed from the bottles, officials confirmed they were government supplies intended for subsidized distribution. Legal action is being taken against the detainees as the investigation continues to identify the key perpetrators behind this illegal hoarding.
