Villagers Set Abandoned Truck on Fire After Foiled Cattle Theft in Saltha

According to local sources, a group of thieves entered the cowshed of a resident named Ron Gopal in Sarukdia village under Atghar Union with the intention of stealing cattle. The homeowner noticed the intrusion and began shouting, prompting nearby residents to rush to the scene.

Sensing trouble, the suspects fled the area, leaving behind the truck believed to have been used in the attempted theft. Shortly afterward, a large number of villagers gathered, pushed the vehicle off the roadside, and set it ablaze.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Bablur Rahman Khan confirmed that the suspects escaped as locals assembled, and the abandoned truck was later burned by villagers.
