During the operation, which lasted from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Shibchar Municipal Market, the Magistrate monitored various shops selling fish, meat, groceries, and fruits. Her disguise allowed her to witness firsthand irregularities such as overpricing, short-weighting, and deceptive meat sales.

After identifying the culprits, she revealed her identity and launched a mobile court. Seven shops were fined a total of BDT 12,000 under the Consumer Rights Protection Act. Other traders were also sternly warned against any future malpractice.

"I initially monitored the market situation in disguise to catch the irregularities red-handed," said Magistrate Shaikha Sultana. She added that strict legal actions would continue to protect the interests of general consumers.
