Jamaat District Amir Maulana Abul Hashem Passes Away During Protest Rally in Kushtia
The event took place on Monday afternoon around 4:30 PM at Ektara Mor in the city. During his speech, Maulana Hashem suddenly felt unwell, and party activists rushed him to Dr. Mannan Heart and General Hospital. He was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Maulana Abul Hashem was also a teacher at Poradah Degree College. The district secretary of Jamaat, Suja Uddin Jowardar, confirmed the news.
According to another Jamaat leader, Enamul Haque, a protest procession had taken place an hour earlier, starting at the municipality square and concluding at Ektara Mor. During the rally, Maulana Hashem collapsed unexpectedly.
Dr. Abdul Momen of Dr. Mannan Heart and General Hospital stated that he had passed away before reaching the hospital, making the exact cause of death unclear at this time. However, Jamaat leaders suspect it was a heart attack.
