The ceremony was also attended by the State Minister for Education, Bobby Hajjaj, and other high-ranking ministry officials. This year marks a significant milestone as the scholarship examinations were held for the first time in over a decade.

According to the official statistics, a total of 46,200 students have been selected for scholarships this year. Of these, 14,700 students secured the Talent Pool scholarship, while 31,500 students were awarded the General category scholarship. The results show that the Dhaka Education Board topped the list in terms of the number of scholarship recipients. Across the country, approximately 3.5 lakh students participated in the examinations, which were held from December 28, 2025, to January 5, 2026, across 611 centers.

Students who have been awarded scholarships will receive financial benefits for the next two years. Those in the Talent Pool category will receive a monthly stipend of 450 BDT along with an annual lump-sum grant of 560 BDT. General category recipients will receive a monthly stipend of 300 BDT and an annual grant of 350 BDT. The selection process followed a board-wise proportional rate and was based on specific quotas at the upazila level.

To check the results, students can visit the official website of the Directorate of Primary Education (dpe.gov.bd) and navigate to the "Scholarship Result" section using their roll number and the year 2026. Alternatively, results can be obtained via SMS by sending the board name, roll number, and year to 16222. The resumption of this scholarship system has been met with great enthusiasm from both students and guardians, as it provides a renewed incentive for academic excellence at the secondary level.
