Colleges Closed for 39 Consecutive Days: School Holiday Details Revealed
This integrated break will span 39 consecutive days, with academic activities set to resume on March 29, 2026.
While colleges have started their vacation, the schedule for schools remains different. Government primary schools, secondary schools, vocational institutes, and diploma colleges are scheduled to begin their holidays on March 8, 2026. However, despite the different start dates, all educational institutions are expected to reopen simultaneously on March 29.
According to the annual academic calendar published by the Ministry of Education, this year’s Ramadan, Eid-ul-Fitr, and summer vacations have been synchronized. The data shows that colleges will remain closed for 26 days from February 18 to March 25. The holiday has been further extended due to the Independence and National Day on March 26, followed by the regular weekly holidays on Friday and Saturday. Consequently, students will return to their classrooms on Sunday, March 29.
