Primary Teacher Recruitment Exam to be Cancelled if Fraud is Proven: DG
He made this statement following protests by job seekers demanding the cancellation of the exam due to alleged irregularities.
Addressing the situation, the DG stated, "We have decided to conduct a thorough investigation in response to the candidates' demands. If the allegations are proven true, the exam will be cancelled, as we have done on two previous occasions." He added that if no evidence of widespread malpractice is found, the results will be published as scheduled.
While acknowledging that there were attempts to leak the questions, the DG noted that the papers recovered by intelligence agencies (DGFI, NSI, DB) did not match the actual exam questionnaire. He clarified that while there was no leak, digital devices were used for cheating in some cases. Consequently, 207 examinees were expelled, and legal actions, including imprisonment, were taken against those involved. The authorities remain committed to a fair recruitment process through this inquiry.
