The Dhaka Divisional Commissioner's Office issued a formal letter to the Director General of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) on Sunday (January 11), emphasizing the enforcement of this directive.

According to the order, educational institutions cannot grant permission for any gathering on their grounds or in halls without prior approval from the Returning Officer. The letter noted a growing trend where candidates or their supporters attempt to conduct campaigns under the guise of seminars, receptions, or youth rallies within school or college premises.

The Divisional Commissioner's Office highlighted that some heads of institutions are allowing these venues to be used locally, which is a clear violation of the election code of conduct. To ensure a fair pre-election environment, the authorities have been instructed to remain vigilant and prevent any unauthorized political usage of academic premises.
