At the time of her address, the BJP was leading in 194 seats while the TMC trailed at 91. Undeterred by the numbers, Banerjee urged her party workers to stay confident, stating, "Rest assured, we will fight like the cubs of a tiger; no one needs to be afraid."

In her video message, Banerjee characterized the early results as a "pre-planned drama" orchestrated by the BJP. She alleged that news of a BJP lead was being deliberately prioritized and that rigging was taking place in various locations. "In many places, counting has been halted for nearly 100 seats after only two or three rounds. Discrepancies were found in seven machines in Kalyani," she claimed. She further accused the BJP of using central forces to forcibly influence results and capturing TMC offices to harass workers.

Advising counting agents and party workers not to lose heart, the Chief Minister said, "There is no reason to be upset. I have told you, you will win after sunset. Only a few rounds have been counted; many more are left. Just wait and watch." She alleged that the media was airing "fake news" by not displaying seats where the TMC is leading. She instructed everyone to remain patient and continue the fight until the final results are officially declared.
