Hezbollah Targets Israeli Convoy with Drones and Rockets in South Lebanon
In two separate operations conducted this Sunday, the armed group targeted Israeli convoys and troops. According to Hezbollah’s official statement, the first attack involved a 'kamikaze' drone that successfully struck an Israeli military convoy near the town of Al-Bayad at 11:30 AM. This was followed by a second rocket barrage at 2:30 PM targeting soldiers and vehicles in Al-Qantara, located in the Marjayoun district.
In a statement released via Telegram, Hezbollah claimed these strikes were a direct retaliation for repeated Israeli violations of the ceasefire and ongoing aggression against Lebanese villages. The group emphasized that the operations were necessary to avenge civilian casualties and to defend Lebanon’s sovereignty. While these incidents have significantly escalated tensions along the border, the Israeli military has yet to issue an official response regarding the extent of the damage or casualties.
