This Iranian counter-proposal comes in response to an initial 9-point plan presented by the United States. Despite Donald Trump rejecting a previous Iranian offer last week, diplomatic channels remain open as the current three-week-old ceasefire continues to hold. In a bid to strengthen mediation, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has held discussions with Omani Foreign Minister Badr Al-Busaidi, whose country has long served as a key bridge between Tehran and Washington.
