Disabled Palestinian Child Brutalized by Israeli Forces in East Jerusalem
The incident occurred last Thursday (April 30) during a raid in the Shuafat refugee camp. Footage broadcast on social media depicts Israeli soldiers chasing and cornering Mahdi Abu Talib, a child with visible physical disabilities, leaving him terrified and traumatized.
Local sources informed Anadolu Agency that despite his obvious health condition, soldiers harassed the boy and physically assaulted his brother. Since the onset of the Gaza conflict in October 2023, violence by the Israeli military and illegal settlers has surged in the West Bank and East Jerusalem. According to Palestinian statistics, this period of escalation has claimed over 1,100 lives and injured approximately 12,000 Palestinians. This latest act of aggression against a vulnerable child highlights the worsening humanitarian crisis and the persistent violation of international law in the occupied territories.
