In a special message released through state media to mark National Persian Gulf Day, the President leveled these allegations while reaffirming Iran’s firm stance on excluding "hostile nations" from the waterway. His remarks come at a time of heightened naval friction and global concern over energy supply routes.

In his message, President Pezeshkian described the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz as "symbols of the Iranian nation’s resistance." He explicitly stated that the United States and the "Zionist regime" must bear full responsibility for any insecurity or instability arising in the region. He further suggested that Iran’s intensified control over the waterway is a direct response to prolonged Western military presence and repeated attempts at maritime blockades.

Addressing the recent restrictions and blockades Iran has imposed on vessel movements in the Strait, Pezeshkian claimed these measures were taken solely in the interest of regional security. He issued a fresh warning, asserting that regional stability cannot be restored as long as provocative interventions by foreign powers continue. International analysts believe that this stern message on Persian Gulf Day further escalates the ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.
