Rear Admiral Shahram Irani, the Commander of the Iranian Navy, claimed that Iran will soon reveal a weapon so formidable that it will cause the enemy to suffer a "heart attack." This sensational development was reported by Iran’s state-owned media outlet, Press TV, on Wednesday, April 29, 2026.

Commander Shahram Irani asserted that the enemy's belief in achieving quick results through unprovoked aggression has failed, stating that their military plans have now become a subject of global ridicule. He further claimed that Iran recently launched at least seven missile strikes on the US aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln, which significantly hindered its ability to conduct aerial operations for an extended period. Since the conflict began on February 28, Iran reports having executed at least 100 successful retaliatory strikes against US and Israeli targets across various regions in the Middle East.

Regarding the Strait of Hormuz, Commander Irani issued an even sterner warning. He announced that Iran has now extended its control over this strategic waterway from the direction of the Arabian Sea, making it mandatory for all vessels to obtain permission from Iranian authorities before passage. He vehemently criticized the US for seizing Iranian ships, comparing their actions to "piracy" and "hostage-taking," and remarked that "Americans are worse than Somali pirates." Declaring that Iran will fight to the last drop of blood to avenge its martyrs, he vowed that the upcoming counter-strikes would leave the enemy in a state of profound regret.
