Trump Blasts 'Fake News' Media Over Coverage of Iran Conflict
In a fiery post on his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump accused influential news organizations, including CNN, of intentionally downplaying U.S. military achievements while portraying Iran in a favorable light.
Defense of 'Operation Midnight Hammer' The President specifically referenced 'Operation Midnight Hammer', a mission carried out last year against Iranian nuclear facilities. Trump claimed the operation resulted in the "complete and final obliteration" of Iran’s nuclear dust centers. "It will be a long and difficult process to dig that out," he wrote, asserting that the mission was a total success despite media skepticism.
Trump further alleged that CNN and other "corrupt" networks are failing to give U.S. pilots the respect they deserve and are instead "insulting" the bravery of the American military.
"America is Winning by a Lot" Naming The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The Washington Post, Trump argued that under his leadership, the U.S. is "winning by a lot," yet media reports make it appear as though America is losing. He warned that these reports are creating confusion even among enemies.
"The enemies are confused because they get these same 'reports' from the media. The anti-America Fake News media wants Iran to win, but that’s not going to happen because I am in charge!" Trump declared.
Political analysts note that Trump’s defiant stance and his deep-seated distrust of the press are creating new ripples in global politics. As the leader of the world's most powerful military force and a key figure within the NATO alliance, his confrontational approach toward domestic media during active conflict raises significant questions about the flow of information and public perception in modern warfare.
