"No Trust in US, Full Faith in Pakistan": Iranian Envoy on Potential Islamabad Talks
Speaking at the Islamabad Policy Research Institute, Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghaddam emphasized that while Iran values Pakistan's role as a mediator, it holds "zero trust" in the United States.
He reiterated that since the 1979 Revolution, Iran has faced persistent pressure from the US and Zionist forces. Defending Tehran’s nuclear program as entirely peaceful, the envoy challenged critics to provide evidence of weaponization.
Moghaddam also praised the diplomatic efforts of the Pakistani Prime Minister and the Field Marshal, stating that Iran seeks regional sovereignty rather than dominance. Despite suffering immense human and financial losses due to foreign-backed terrorism, the Ambassador maintained that Iran remains steadfast in its geopolitical stance.
