Middle East Oil Recovery Could Take Two Years, Warns IEA Chief Fatih Birol
IEA Executive Director Fatih Birol stated that the timeline for energy recovery will vary significantly across the region.
Speaking to a Swiss newspaper, Birol noted that while nations like Saudi Arabia might recover faster, countries like Iraq face a much longer road to restoration. According to IEA estimates, it will take "roughly two years" for regional production to return to its pre-war levels. This delay underscores the long-term economic impact of the recent hostilities and raises concerns over global energy price stability in the coming months.
