Late Thursday night, the intense conflict between Israel and Hezbollah transitioned into a temporary truce, sparking celebrations across various parts of Lebanon.

However, the atmosphere remains tense as both sides maintain a cautious stance. While Israel has vowed to keep its troops stationed in southern Lebanon to respond to any threats, Hezbollah asserts its "right to resist" any Israeli presence. UN Ambassador Danny Danon warned that the military remains on high alert and will react to any provocations.

President Trump has invited Prime Minister Netanyahu and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun to the White House for further peace talks. Since late February, this conflict has claimed over 2,100 lives in Lebanon and displaced a million civilians, making this ceasefire a critical, yet uncertain, window for diplomacy.
