In a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, on Wednesday, Trump stated that this move has deeply satisfied China and serves the best interests of global trade. He assured that the strategic waterway, which has long been a flashpoint for international tension, would never face blockades again.

Trump further revealed that Beijing has agreed to cease weapon shipments to Iran, signaling a shift in diplomatic dynamics. Expressing optimism about his upcoming visit to China, the President noted that he expects a warm reception from President Xi Jinping, emphasizing that cooperation is far superior to conflict. This announcement comes after Tehran’s recent warning to cripple maritime trade in the Persian Gulf and Gulf of Oman if U.S. naval blockades on Iranian ports continued. By securing this passage, Trump aims to de-escalate threats from the Iranian military command regarding ceasefire violations.
