Kim Jong Un Oversees Strategic Cruise Missile Test
On Tuesday, April 14, state media KCNA reported that the tests were conducted using the 5,000-ton destroyer 'Choe Hyon' in the Yellow Sea. Two tactical cruise missiles remained airborne for over 7,900 seconds—more than two hours—before successfully hitting their targets.
Anti-ship missiles were also tested, flying for approximately 33 minutes. Kim Jong Un expressed "great satisfaction" with the military's strategic readiness and reiterated that strengthening the nation's nuclear deterrent remains the top priority. During the visit, Kim was briefed on the weaponry for two additional destroyers currently under construction, reaching what KCNA described as a "crucial decision" regarding future naval armaments.
