Iran Condemns Israeli Attacks; Demands US Adherence to Lebanon Ceasefire Deal

Spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei emphasized that a halt to the fighting in Lebanon is an "inseparable part" of the 14-day ceasefire framework mediated by Pakistan. He reminded that the Pakistani Prime Minister explicitly stated the U.S. is committed to stopping hostilities across all fronts, including Lebanon.

Baghaei warned that any military action or stance contrary to this understanding would be viewed as a total failure by the United States to uphold its promises. Iran maintains that the upcoming negotiations in Islamabad are contingent upon these guarantees. With tensions rising following the escalation of Israeli strikes, Tehran has made it clear that Washington must demonstrate its "loyalty" to the agreed-upon terms to prevent a total collapse of the diplomatic process.
