The primary objective of this plan is to bring the vast territory from the Israeli border up to the Litani River under direct military control. Depending on the geography, the Litani River lies anywhere from 2 km to 30 km deep into Lebanese territory. This move has triggered a catastrophic humanitarian crisis across the nation.

Mass Evacuations and Humanitarian Disaster According to reports from Al Jazeera, the Israeli military has issued sweeping evacuation orders for southern Lebanon. Residents living not only along the Litani River but as far north as the Zahrani River have been ordered to abandon their homes immediately.

Displacement Figures: Including the southern suburbs of Beirut, over 1 million Lebanese citizens have been displaced due to these evacuation orders.

Conflict Zones: The intensity of Israeli ground operations has surged over the past 24 hours, stretching from the coastal town of Naqoura to the town of Khiam.

Strategic Goals and Counter-Resistance Netanyahu’s Master Plan is officially framed as a strategy to secure northern Israel from Hezbollah attacks. However, analysts warn that occupying land up to the Litani River represents a long-term blow to Lebanese sovereignty. In retaliation, Hezbollah continues to launch rocket and drone strikes against Israeli military positions in northern Israel, pushing the border skirmishes toward a full-scale regional war.

A Precarious Future The displacement of over a million people has placed Lebanon’s economy and social stability under extreme duress. International aid agencies have warned that millions of people taking shelter in the open during the winter months face acute shortages of food and medicine. Global concern is mounting over whether Israel's "Security Zone" up to the Litani River will eventually evolve into a permanent occupation.
