A senior Houthi leader told Reuters this Thursday (March 26) that the group is militarily prepared for "all options" and is closely monitoring the battlefield to strike at the opportune moment.

This announcement aligns with threats from Iran’s IRGC, which warned that any attack on Iranian soil or offshore islands would lead to the closure of the strategic Bab al-Mandeb Strait. If the Houthis open this new front, it could effectively block the vital maritime route to the Suez Canal, compounding the crisis already caused by the partial closure of the Strait of Hormuz. Intelligence reports suggest that IRGC commanders and Houthi leadership have already synchronized their tactical plans, posing a severe threat to global energy security and international shipping lanes.
