The strikes targeted the northern port city of Haifa and its surrounding areas. According to an official statement from the IRGC, the operation utilized advanced 'Qadr' missiles equipped with cluster warheads, marking a significant shift in the technical nature of the ongoing aerial conflict.

According to reports from the Jerusalem Post and Al Jazeera, the Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency service confirmed that a cluster munition directly struck a residential building in Haifa. While no fatalities have been reported thus far, a 30-year-old man was injured by missile debris, and a woman sustained injuries while rushing to a bomb shelter. Several other residents were treated for acute anxiety and shock as sirens blared across Haifa, Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and parts of the occupied West Bank from Monday evening through Tuesday dawn.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that their multi-layered aerial defense systems were activated to intercept the incoming barrage. While many projectiles were neutralized, at least one missile impacted an open area, and shrapnel caused localized property damage in northern districts. The IRGC has issued a stern warning, characterizing this barrage as "only the beginning" of this phase of operations. In response, the Israeli Home Front Command has instructed citizens in the north to remain near protected spaces until further notice.
