The strikes, which occurred late Saturday in the Negev Desert region, resulted in at least 88 people being hospitalized in Arad, with 10 reported to be in critical condition. Another missile landed just 13 kilometers from Israel’s Dimona nuclear facility, injuring 39 people, including a 10-year-old child who remains in life-threatening condition.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described the incident as an "extremely difficult evening" for the nation after speaking with local officials. In a statement on X (formerly Twitter), Netanyahu vowed to bolster emergency and rescue services and reiterated Israel’s determination to continue striking back at its enemies on all fronts. This failure of the interception systems marks a significant escalation in the ongoing regional conflict.
