Amir Saied Iravani, Iran’s Ambassador to the UN, formally addressed this grievance in a letter to the UN Secretary-General.

The letter claims that by allowing the US to use its territory for military aggression, the UAE has committed an "internationally wrongful act" and must be held accountable for all resulting damages. This diplomatic move follows the massive joint operation by Israel and the US on February 28, which led to significant casualties in Iran. Since then, Tehran has intensified retaliatory strikes against US bases across the Gulf, with the UAE being a primary target. According to Al Jazeera, this formal demand at the UN marks a significant escalation in regional legal and diplomatic tensions.
