Saudi Arabia Warns of Military Retaliation Following Iranian Missile Strikes
This warning follows a direct ballistic missile attack by Tehran targeting Riyadh. Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud declared on Wednesday (March 18) that the Kingdom reserves every right to defend its territory, stating that the hard-won diplomatic trust between the two nations has been completely shattered.
The conflict intensified after Iran accused Israel of attacking its gas fields, leading Tehran to launch retaliatory missiles toward Saudi and Qatari energy hubs. Saudi air defenses successfully intercepted four ballistic missiles over the capital while international diplomats were gathered for emergency talks. The Foreign Minister emphasized that unless Iran ceases its unprovoked aggression immediately, there will be no remaining path for diplomatic reconciliation or future cooperation.
