Iran Launches Cluster Missile Strike on Israel; 2 Killed as IRGC Avenges Leaders
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) confirmed the use of Khorramshahr-4 and Qadr missiles in the operation. According to an IRGC statement broadcast on state TV, the strike was a direct retaliation for the assassination of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Footage captured by the Associated Press (AP) showed cluster munitions dispersing from at least one missile mid-flight. Israeli authorities have confirmed two fatalities so far following the strike. This escalation marks Iran's most significant direct military response since the conflict intensified, pushing the Middle East toward an all-out regional war.
