According to reports from the Times of Israel, this aircraft served as a vital tool for Khamenei and other high-ranking Iranian officials to manage international flights, procure military equipment, and coordinate with regional allies. The IDF characterized the plane as a "strategic asset," asserting that its loss significantly hampers Iran’s ability to synchronize with its proxy networks and impacts the government’s structural resilience and military buildup.

This strike follows a massive operation earlier this month at the same location, where the Israeli Air Force reportedly neutralized 16 other aircraft linked to the IRGC’s Quds Force. Israeli military sources revealed that these planes were being used to smuggle funds and weaponry to groups like Hezbollah in Lebanon. To avoid detection, Iran had reportedly moved these assets to abandoned or "graveyard" sections of the airport. However, the IDF maintains that their intelligence-led strikes have successfully disrupted these logistics, dealing a major blow to Iran's regional military influence and its support system for proxy organizations.
