The announcement was made on Friday, March 13, 2026, under the U.S. State Department’s Rewards for Justice program.

According to a report by NDTV, the bounty targets ten senior Iranian military and intelligence figures. The U.S. State Department’s Diplomatic Security Service stated that these individuals "command and direct various elements of the IRGC, which plans, organizes, and executes terrorism around the world."

In addition to the $10 million financial incentive, the program noted that individuals providing credible information may also be eligible for safe relocation and resettlement. The list of wanted officials also includes Ali Larijani (Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council), Intelligence Minister Esmail Khatib, and Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni. This move follows the escalation of the regional conflict that began on February 28, resulting in the death of former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and several top commanders.
