UK Claims Russia Secretly Aided Iran's Drone Attacks; Investigation Underway
According to AFP, Healey stated during a visit to the British military headquarters in Northwood that it would not be surprising if Russia was found to be influencing Iran's recent military capabilities. He pointed out that Putin is among the world leaders significantly benefiting from the rising global oil prices caused by the ongoing conflict.
The British Defense Secretary further revealed that an Iranian drone, which struck the RAF Akrotiri airbase in Cyprus on March 1, is currently being analyzed for evidence of Russian or other foreign technology. Healey emphasized that any findings regarding the origin of the drone's components would be made public once the investigation concludes. These claims have intensified concerns that global superpowers are increasingly becoming involved in the escalating Middle East war.
