U.S. Military Refueling Plane Crashes in Iraq; 4 Crew Members Killed
On Friday (March 13), U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed that out of the six crew members on board the KC-135 tanker, four have perished. A search and rescue operation is currently underway for the remaining two missing personnel.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the crash was not caused by enemy fire or "friendly fire." CENTCOM described the incident as an operational "loss" and stated that two aircraft were involved in the mission; one landed safely while the other crashed. The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation by the U.S. military authorities.
