According to a report by Al Jazeera on Monday (March 9), the Saudi Foreign Ministry clarified that no fighter jets or refueling aircraft from Saudi soil are participating in the ongoing conflict. The ministry emphasized that any aircraft currently patrolling Saudi airspace are doing so strictly for defensive purposes.

The statement further noted that despite recent assurances from Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian regarding the safety of neighboring countries, Tehran continues to launch attacks based on unverified pretexts. Riyadh warned that Iran’s persistent aggression is heightening regional instability and could severely damage bilateral relations. The ministry also cautioned that by expanding the scope of the conflict, Iran itself might ultimately face the most significant consequences.
