Israel Launches Strikes on Iran: Explosions Reported in Tehran

Iranian state media confirmed hearing loud explosions in the capital city, Tehran, while smoke was seen rising from parts of the downtown area. The IDF stated that the operation targeted specific military facilities to "remove threats" to the State of Israel.

Simultaneously, the IDF issued a nationwide proactive alert across Israel, sounding sirens and instructing citizens to stay near protected spaces. Authorities clarified that this was a precautionary measure to prepare for the possibility of retaliatory missile launches from Iran. As of now, no incoming missiles have been detected in Israeli territory.
